Composite insulators, a special type of safety insulation control, consist of continuous layers of different insulating materials, forming a multi-layered insulation structure. These insulators are typically composed of alternating layers of metals (such as copper) and insulating materials (such as polyurethane), exhibiting excellent electrical insulation properties. The main structure of a composite insulator is generally metal, while the insulating layers are composed of different insulating materials layer by layer, thus providing highly efficient electrical isolation.
