Polymer insulators are widely used in overhead transmission systems for insulation and mechanical support.
This series is specially designed for aging grid upgrades where voltage levels are reduced from 66kV to 36kV, requiring optimized creepage distance and compact shed design.

Due to aging transmission lines and a voltage reduction from 66kV to 36kV, the line structure remains unchanged. Therefore, a longer creepage distance is no longer required, and the sheds (insulator skirts) are designed to be smaller.

The 'X' structure is designed to prevent bird-related damage.
