Transmission line composite suspension insulator provide reliable electrical insulation and mechanical support for overhead transmission lines, ensuring safe and stable power transmission under various environmental conditions. Manufacturing process
Rubber Compounding
The required raw materials, including silica, aluminum hydroxide, silicone rubber, and other additives, are mixed and kneaded in a vacuum kneader according to a predetermined formulation.
After kneading, the compound is removed and placed in a resting room for at least 24 hours. It is then further processed in an open mill to achieve the required thickness of the silicone rubber.
Finally, the silicone rubber is cut into pieces according to the required size of the insulator and stored in sheet form for subsequent molding.
Pultrusion of Fiberglass Core Rods
Epoxy resin, glass fibers, and other chemical agents are mixed according to a predetermined ratio. The diameter is adjusted according to the product requirements, and the mixture is then fed into a pultrusion machine and processed at a controlled temperature. After the core rod reaches the required diameter and size, it is cut into the specified lengths.
Manufacturing of Metal Fittings
The metal fittings are manufactured through several processes, including round steel cutting, stamping and forming, hot-dip galvanizing, CNC machining, and cleaning.
Crimping of Metal Fittings and Core Rod
The prepared metal fittings are securely crimped onto both ends of the fiberglass core rod using specialized crimping equipment to ensure reliable mechanical strength and connection.
High-Temperature Vulcanization
The assembled components are placed into a mold and undergo high-temperature vulcanization. During this process, the silicone rubber housing and sheds are molded onto the core assembly, forming the final composite insulator structure.
