Introduction
Deadend Suspension Insulator (also known as composite tension / strain insulator) is an important component for overhead high-voltage transmission and distribution networks. It has two main functions: electrically isolating live conductors, and mechanically bearing the tension load of power lines at dead-end positions, angle towers and section terminals.
Custom-built end fittings (clevis-tongue, ball-socket, Y-clevis, oval eye etc.) are available to match standard line hardware. Products comply with IEC 61109, ISO 9001 standards. Multiple voltage classes (10kV-220kV) and specified mechanical load ratings can be designed.
